Product detailed description

Insert for the board game Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, the large Age of Legends & Last Knight expansion and the smaller Echoes of the Past expansion.

Horizontal and vertical storage is supported, with enough space for sleeved cards. The insert is designed for fast setup and easier play. Everything is split between two boxes: the core-game box stores everything needed to play one of the three Tainted Grail campaigns, while the second box stores the additional cards and miniatures for the other campaigns.

Standard color options:

• Black: all components and text are printed in black.
• Black + white: components are black, horizontal text is white, while text on the sides of the boxes remains black, as shown in the photos.

Contents of the core-game box

The insert for the core box contains 16 parts:

1. Boxes for red and purple cubes, coins, dice and other markers – 2 pcs.
2. Boxes for the cards of the currently played chapter and random events – 2 pcs.
3. Storybook.
4. Player boards – 4 pcs.
5. Storage box for the miniatures of the current campaign.
6. Card box for the active character.
7. Organizer for advanced-skill cards of the active characters, campaign chapter cards and special events.
8. Organizer for small cards: skills, items and secrets.
9. Storage box for Menhirs.
10. Encounter-card boxes for the current chapter – 2 pcs.
11. Organizer for unused encounter cards, insanity and dying cards, plus space for Memories and special-trait cards from Echoes of the Past.
12. Campaign location-card box.
13. Storage box for the Fore-dweller and Donkey miniatures.

Core-box components in detail

1+2. Two boxes for game cubes and other materials: one for red and purple cubes and coins, and one smaller box for dice and the other markers used during play.

3+4. Two boxes for the cards of the currently played chapter and random events.

7+16. Storage boxes for Menhir miniatures and character miniatures.

8. Card box for the active character, with separate compartments for combat, diplomacy and unwanted character cards, plus a lower compartment for the items and secrets currently owned by the character.

9. Card organizer for advanced skills of the active characters, story cards from campaign chapters not currently being played, and special events.

10. Small-card organizer for skills, items and secrets that have not yet been obtained by the players or purchased with experience.

11+15. Storage box for the Fore-dweller and Donkey miniatures and a box for a Menhir.

12. Two encounter-card boxes for the current chapter, with separate space for each color.

13. Card organizer for unused encounters, separated by color, with one compartment for insanity and dying cards and two spaces for Memories and special traits if you own Echoes of the Past.

14. Campaign location-card box divided into three sections: stored locations, available location cards and cards removed from the game.

Contents of the expansion box

The insert for the expansion box contains the following parts:

1. Card organizers for encounters and characters from two campaigns – 3 pcs.
2. Organizer for campaign story cards and special events.
3. Campaign location-card boxes – 2 pcs.
4. Boxes for the starting cards of characters not currently in play – 2 pcs.
5. Miniature storage boxes – 2 pcs.

Expansion-box components in detail

1+2+3. Three organizers for all encounter cards from two campaigns and all characters. Cards are separated by color, and each character has two spaces for Diplomacy and Combat cards. The organizer also includes room for the additional character Niamh.

4. Organizer for the story cards of both campaigns and special events.

5. Two campaign location-card boxes, one for each campaign.

6. Two boxes for the starting cards of characters not currently in play, used for three- and four-player games; these are the same type as in the core box.

7. Storybooks are stored here but are not part of the insert.

8. Two boxes for miniatures from the other campaigns; every miniature has its own named compartment.

Storage in the core-game box

At the bottom of the box place the two active-character boxes, two encounter-card boxes, the organizer for unused encounters/insanity/dying/Memories, the organizer for advanced character cards and story cards from inactive chapters together with special events, the organizer for item/skill/secret cards, the event-card box, and the boxes for Menhirs, the Fore-dweller and Donkey with the miniature box on top.

Place all four player boards with the character sheets on top of the miniature boxes, the small-card organizer, one of the large-card organizers and partly on the active-character box. Insert the event-card boxes with chapter cards and random events between the standing Menhirs and the encounter-card boxes.

Then add the cube/marker boxes, Exploration Journal, Book of Memories, Status Sheets, character sheets and the Avalon map. There is also space for an A4 notepad. Cover everything with the rulebook and close the box. The lid closes fully with no lid lift.

Storage in the expansion box

At the bottom place the two active-character boxes, the location-card box for one campaign and the campaign Exploration Journals. On the journals place the three character/encounter-card organizers together with the story-card organizer. The character-miniature box fits between the organizers and the character box, with the location-card box for the second campaign beside it. Place the second campaign's miniature box on top of the first campaign's location box.

Finally place the Status Sheets, character sheets and Avalon maps on the organizers, put the character boards on the character boxes, and close the box with its lid.
