Product detailed description
Insert for the board game Lost Ruins of Arnak (2020) with the Expedition Leaders (2021) and campaign expansion The Missing Expedition (2023), officially licensed by CGE (Czech Games Edition).
The insert is also compatible with our 3D-printed deluxe coins and compasses.
The official CGE license allowed us to use the original game iconography on the individual insert parts to show where components belong. This means you usually will not need the included insert guide when sorting components after a game.
During design we also focused on keeping the box lid fully closed even with both expansions stored inside. Lid lift occurs only if you choose to store the original base-game player boards as well, even though these were replaced by the Leader boards from the first expansion, or if you keep the original supply board in the box, which is unnecessary when using this insert.
There is plenty of room for sleeved cards; tested with Diamond sleeves, 80 microns thick.
Parts and functions
Organizer for Site and Guardian tiles
Place it directly on the game board. Under the Level I Sites are the alarm-clock first-player token and the suitcase token used with the Professor. Under the Level II Sites is a removable setup tray for Idol, Discovery, Blocking, Role and Pigeon tokens. The front pocket holds two Moon Staffs, the Fog/Flood tile, the reward track and Waterfalls.
Double card holder with lid for Item and Artifact cards
Both the lower and upper sections are used during play as draw and discard piles. Put the holder directly on the board and start playing: simply separate the cards and take the Leader cards. After completing the campaign, the campaign-specific cards can be moved to the separate campaign box, freeing space in this holder. Four dividers are included for easier sorting.

As you progress through the campaign, Item and Artifact cards can gradually be moved into the double card holder so they can also be used in regular games.
2 resource trays with closeable lids
They provide easy access for all players around the table and prevent the resources from spilling inside the box.
Fear-card holder
Place it directly on the board. It also includes a compartment for reserve tokens used for Fear/resource multipliers.
Organizer for Expedition Leader components
Everything is stored in one place except the Professor's suitcase token, which is kept with the first-player token under the Level I Site cards. Every component has its own fixed and labeled position. There is also space for archaeologists and Action cards used in solo play. This section additionally contains organizers for Temple tiles and Assistants. Its lid forms the middle section of the card stand.
Temple-tile organizer
Place it directly on the board. To remove a tile, simply press on one side or the other.
Assistant-token organizer
Place it directly on the board. To remove a token, press on the upper or lower side.
Card stand
No more repeatedly standing up or picking cards up to check the market: the available cards remain clearly visible. The stand also has space for a Moon Staff. Its use is optional; if you prefer the cards lying flat on the table, you can simply leave the two stand rails in the box.
Most insert parts are closeable or positioned so that their contents cannot spill, allowing safe vertical storage.
Print variants
- Brown: everything is brown except the black Fear-card holder.
- Multicolor: selected parts have gold text and decoration plus colored markings for Item and Artifact cards.
- With either version, you can also choose player boxes in the four player colors: red, yellow, blue and green.
